Current phase of traffic light and COVID-19 information of the University

 

Library services according to traffic-light colours:

General information

Green / yellow

  • Library opening hours: Mon-Thu 09:00-17:00h, Fri 09:00-13:00
  • Open-shelves area ("Freihandbereich") and reading room are open

Orange

  • Library opening hours: Mon, Wed, Fri 10:00-13:00h, Tue and Thur 14:00-17:00h
  • Open-shelves area ("Freihandbereich") is open (with access restrictions)
  • Scanning, copying, binding of theses and other services will be possible
  • Reading room closed
  • Media currently on loan are not renewed automatically.

Red

    • Library closed; use of e-resources (Digital Library)
    • limited lending service for staff and students:

      • pre-order physical media via AnTon:search (after login)
      • collecting of requested media is possible twice per week: Mon 10:00-12:00, Thur 15:00-17:00h

    • returning of media via return box in the foyer only
    • All media currently on loan have been renewed until 31 Jan 2021. No additional overdue fees will be charged during red phase.

    Library and usage regulations (in German)

    We are pleased to offer you the following additional services:

    • Self-service borrowing: you can take out music and books without assistance via the self-service borrowing stations.
    • Scanner: material can be safely scanned onto storage media free of charge.
    • Box for the return of media: borrowed media can be returned outside opening hours by placing in the box on level 0 – near the porter's lodge / opposite the  Studiobühne.
    • Bibliobags (library bags) are transparent carrier bags, which are available free of charge and can be taken into all the library rooms. They need not be returned, and are thus also a practical everyday accessory.
