Brass Instruments and Percussion

The highly qualified teaching staff of the Brass Instruments and Percussion Institute (BBS) promote talented young musicians, and offer a comprehensive professional training in the creative, interpretative, pedagogical and theoretical aspects of learning an instrument.

A further mission for the Institute lies in the cultivation of the entire heritage of musical culture, and in researching, preserving and passing on the musical heritage of past ages, as well as an active participation in musical developments of the present and the future. This activity takes place in co-operation with many important cultural institutions in Austria and abroad, and through the support of the Friends of the Institute for Brass and Percussion “senza sordino”.
