The Anton Bruckner University is one of seven Austrian Universities for Music, Drama and Dance, and one of four universities in Linz. 850 students from all parts of the world study here. They are taught by 200 Professors and teaching staff, who are internationally recognised artists, academics and teachers.

The university library of the Anton Bruckner Private University for music, dance and drama is the largest music library in Upper Austria. The inventory runs to over 100,000 items which support and sustain research and teaching at the university. The majority of items are available for borrowing.
With more than 500 events, among them chamber and orchestral concerts, plays, dance and jazz performances and concerts of contemporary music as well as lectures and discussions, the Bruckner University is one of the region's largest organizers and presenters of cultural events.

Mitwirkende | Studierende und Lehrende der Fachbereiche Elementare Musikpädagogik, Instrumental- und Gesangspädagogik und Schauspiel
Seit fast 20 Jahren findet wöchentlich Elementares Musizieren, geleitet von Lehrenden und Studierenden der EMP, im Caritas-Seniorenwohnhaus St. Anna, statt.
Die „Musikstunde“ vor Ort ermöglicht vielen Bewohner*innen künstlerisches Erleben und das Sammeln ästhetischer Erfahrung. Das thematische Anknüpfen an die (musikalischen) Biografien der Menschen und das gemeinsame Erinnern und Tun, ermöglicht soziale Interaktion und Kommunikation. Das gemeinsame musikalisch-tänzerische Gestalten hat einen strukturierenden Aspekt, der besonders dementiell erkrankten Menschen Orientierung liefert und ihnen Sicherheit vermittelt. Das jährlich durchgeführte Konzert von EMP-Studierenden im Seniorenwohnhaus möchte den Bewohner*innen kulturelle Teilhabe ermöglichen.
Im Jubiläumsjahr 2024 soll dieses Angebot durch ein partizipatives, interdisziplinäres, künstlerisch-pädagogisches Projekt erweitert werden und Studierenden Erfahrungen in der Arbeit mit dieser Zielgruppe ermöglichen. Studierenden der EMP/ACT entwickeln ausgehend von musikalischen Biografien einiger Bewohner*innen Kurzperformances, die im Senior*innenwohnhaus aufgeführt werden.
Außerdem wird ein biografie-basiertes interdisziplinäres „Wunsch-Konzert“ konzipiert, das an der ABPU von Studierenden aus dem Fachbereich Elementare Musikpädagogik, der Instrumental(Gesangs)-Pädagogik und dem Institut für Schauspiel dargeboten wird. Dieses Konzert ist allen Menschen, insbesondere aber den Bewohner*innen von St. Anna, zugänglich.
