Wir trauern um Josef Kapeller

Herr Kapeller unterrichtete seit 1973 am Bruckner-Konservatorium Klarinette und später an der ABPU die Theoriefächer „EDV für Musiker“ und „Notensatz-EDV“ am Institut für Komposition und Dirigieren. Im März 2015 trat er seinen wohlverdienten Ruhestand an. Selbst ein Absolvent des Bruckner-Konservatoriums, schloss er an seine Studien an unserem Haus eine Ausbildung zum Volksschullehrer sowie Lehramtsprüfungen für verschiedene Fächer an. Neben seiner künstlerischen Tätigkeit als Klarinettist war ihm die Pädagogik stets ein besonderes Anliegen, und so war er auch in der Pädagog*innenfortbildung tätig. Die Anton Bruckner Privatuniversität wird sein Andenken ehrend bewahren.

The Anton Bruckner Private University mourns the loss of Josef Kapeller, who died on 11 January 2024 at the age of 73. Mr. Kapeller taught clarinet at the Bruckner Conservatory since 1973 and later taught the theoretical subjects "EDP for Musicians" and "Notation EDP" at the Institute of Composition and Conducting at the ABPU. He took his well-deserved retirement in March 2015. A graduate of the Bruckner Conservatory himself, his studies at our conservatory, he trained as a primary school teacher as well as teaching examinations for various subjects. In addition to his artistic clarinetist, pedagogy was always a particular concern of his, and so he was also active in teacher training. The Anton Bruckner Private University will honor his memory.
