In Europe there has been a remarkable upswing in music for wind instruments in recent years.

A wide repertoire of music, a vast range of publications and steadily increasing quality awareness are the integral parameters of this development. There are high levels of commitment, not only in representational orchestras, but also in the growing number of local wind bands, offering an exciting challenge to conductors.

Responsible handling of such orchestral groups requires highly professional and psychological skills.

The 6 - semester course for Wind Orchestra Conducting is structured so that it can be taken alongside a job or another course of training. Passing an entrance examination is a pre-requisite for this course. The Anton Bruckner Private University will award successful participation with a course diploma.

The Anton Bruckner Private University also offers a Bachelor program for conducting, with conducting a wind orchestra as one branch of study.
