MA Audition Dance

The MA audition takes place twice a year.

20.04.2023, from 11.00 a.m. - 3.00 p.m. online or
07.07.2023, from 2.00 p.m. - 4.00 p.m. online

Application period: by 20 March 2023 for the first date, by 13 June 2023 for the second date.

Main focus: Contemporary Dance-Movement Research and Dance Pedagogy

Master: Audition Contemporary Dance-Movement Research and Dance Pedagogy

Requirements for the degree programme: The prerequisite for admission to the Master's programme is a positively completed Bachelor's degree in the field of dance or at least an equivalent university degree or proven professional work experience of several years in the field of dance.

Requirements: Online registration (see application period) stating the chosen date and sending the following application documents to Beate Gschwendtner-Leitner (beate.gschwendtner-leitnerbruckneruniat) by 20 March 2023 at the latest for the first date and by 14 June 2023 for the second date:

  • Sending in up to 3 different video links (YouTube links) to own artistic and pedagogical works. The body and dance practice of the applicant must be visible in the video links: either in the form of a dance solo, an excerpt from a piece, a training session carried out by the applicant or a dance class. The applicant should be clearly identifiable.
     
  • Furthermore, the following questions must be answered in writing and sent to Beate Gschwendtner-Leitner:
    a) Which artistic work and which reading has particularly impressed you in recent months?
    b) What would you like us to know?
    c) What expectations do you associate with the specific orientation of this degree programme - Movement Research and/or Dance Education?

Pre-selection: The jury reviews the submitted documents and invites selected candidates to the online audition at the ABPU. Applicants will be informed two weeks before the online audition whether they will be invited.

Online audition: Detailed interview with the jury about the specific study interests.
