Pursuit of Gestures

Under the title Pursuit of Gestures, master students from the IDA Institute of Dance Arts create signifying worlds out of gestures. "Gestures do not stay on track for a very long time", writes cognitive scientist Shaun Gallagher. They release meaningful moments, but quickly turn into motor activity. The specific research topics of the master students give rise to individual gestural-motoric works that are also experimental in terms of performance formats.
